Exciting times for the Spartans!

The Halton Spartans are extremely pleased to announce some fantastic sponsorship news. During our inaugural year in 2015 we were proudly supported by four primary sponsorship partners - DRL Reinforcement, The Imperial, Dial a Drink and 60K International Call Centres, and we are pleased to announce that all five will continue to be primary sponsorship partners in 2016, and our game shirts will again proudly display their company logo’s.

Ian Derbyshire the Halton Spartans General Manager confirmed that all four sponsors were impressed with the Spartans in terms of our on field results and fan base growth in 2015, but they were also very impressed with the growth of our sporting organisation with regards to player and coaching numbers, as well as our impact and exposure not only in the borough of Halton but the wider UK Britballl community during our inaugural year. We shared with all of sponsors our plans and vision for 2016 and beyond, and all four of them were very complimentary, and confirmed their continued sponsorship in 2016.

This is fantastic news for the Spartans as this continued support allows the Spartans to continue our plans for growth in 2016 and beyond, and train and play our home games in one of the best Britball venues in the UK – the Select Security Stadium in Widnes. We thank all of our sponsors for their continued support in 2016 and look forward to working with them throughout this year.

If any other companies would like to join our existing sponsorship partners in 2016, then we have a number of sponsorship opportunities available and our GM Ian Derbyshire would be happy to discuss them further with you. In the first instance please email him on derbyshirei44@hotmail.com

Vernon Kay vs. Halton Spartans: The Comic Relief Bowl

The Halton Spartans will partake in a special fundraising event on Friday 13th March for Red Nose Day at Manchester Airport.

2014 BritBowl winners the London Warriors will fly to Manchester Airport to take on the Halton Spartans in a series of challenges.

Teams of four or five players from either side will do battle in several games including a bungee run, and ‘weight’ lifting a girl in BA uniform.

This event is likely to attract national coverage as one of the London Warriors players in attendance will be Free Safety Vernon Kay, former BBC Radio 1 DJ and current host of ITV's Family Fortunes.

Most of the duel will take place in British Airways Departure Lounge at Manchester Airport before heading to Didsbury- the home of British Airways City Flyer Headquarters.

Vernon Kay is an ambassador of BA's Flying Start which is British Airways’ global charity partnership with Comic Relief. In three years they have raised over £9 million to help children living incredible tough lives here in the UK and in the countries around the world that they fly to.
